The Chilean Society of Regional Studies (SOCHER), together with the School of BusinessSciences of the Universidad Católica del Norte, Coquimbo Campus, and the Regional ScienceAssociation International (RSAI), invites academics, researchers, practitioners, and graduateand undergraduate students to submit papers to the XVI SOCHER Annual Congress 2026, tobe held in the Coquimbo Region on November 18, 19, and 20, 2026.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES
Submissions of extended abstracts and full papers will be received until Friday, September 25, 2026. Decisions by the Scientific Committee will be communicated starting on September 28 and no later than October 5, 2026.
At the time of submission, authors must indicate whether their paper is being submitted for the Andrew “Andy” Isserman Award.

MODES OF PARTICIPATION
- Contributed Sessions (Extended Abstract or Full Paper). Papers in all areas of regional and urban studies.
- Young Researchers Space (Proposal). Dedicated to doctoral and master’s students at the thesis stage.
- Special Sessions. Coordinators may propose three or four papers on a common topic.
